Past Projects with Young People
Feb - July 2006
Creative Partnership mentoring scheme.
Natalie took part in the scheme, resulting in the delivery of a project reflecting Breathe's work Space Between Us in a Nottingham primary school.
May – June 2005
Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Romania.
Breathe facilitated a cross-cultural young people’s project, working with 40 children (aged 4-13yrs) - with speech and hearing difficulties from The Scoala Specialacu Internat 2, Romania and a further 20 children (aged 9-11), from Rosehill Primary School, Ipswich. The project resulted in two separate presentations of work at The Sibiu International Theatre Festival, Romania and The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
July 2004
Story Cycles Week, The New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich.
Breathe collaborated with young people from Stutton Primary School, through a series of workshops based on ghost stories. Culminating into a performance presentation at the theatre.
April 2004
Sandwell College (in association with THE pUBLIC, West Bromwich).
Breathe facilitated a workshop with students from the local college. Focusing on changeable maps and the town as a site, the students were encouraged to take a journey, documenting their encounters along the way.
Feb 2004
Starfish Holiday Club, Stutton Primary School, Suffolk. An artist in residence project with 10 young people aged between 7 and 10. A day exploring communication using telephones to inform the creativity. -
July 2002, 2003
Goldhill Adventure Playground Leicester.
An artist in residence project, which in its second year was incorporated into Leicester carnival.
